Advanced English Learn
English is used as the primary language of communication in many parts of the world. Native English speakers use this language since their childhood and hence it’s the language of their daily interaction. Non-native speakers use English as their second language. This helps them communicate with other people in different parts of the world. English has slowly emerged as a language of the world because most non-native speakers are using English as their second language these days.
Learning advanced English, however, requires some effort. It requires that you learn the basics of the language, its grammar, its sentence construction and increase your knowledge of its vocabulary with time. Finally you have to practice all this regularly in order to be fluent in it. Advanced knowledge of a language means that you can understand, speak, read and write the language easily. This requires a lot of hard work on the learner’s part but if you keep practicing, the language is easy to understand and use.
There are some strategies that you should keep in mind when you are trying to learn Advanced English. These tips will help you to learn the language quickly and easily.
First, always try to compare the meaning of a particular word to the meaning in your mother tongue. This helps you to memorize the word easily. When we find a relative and live example to the word in our own language, the word becomes easy to remember because we can find the exact meaning of that word. So, do not just memorize the word meanings from a dictionary. Always use a reference of the word from your mother tongue to memorize it easily.
When you have done this, find out the exact English to English meaning of the particular word. This means you are memorizing one more word with the help of the word you have previously memorized. Also try to find out the word which acts in the opposite sense of that word. This is called an antonym.
When you find yourself comfortable with the words, try to make simple sentences with them. You have a pile of synonyms written on your notebook. Use those words to make sentences and observe the change in sentence when you use another word that carries the same or a similar meaning.
Observe the sentences written in the dictionary which deploy the meaning of a particular word in that sentence. Notice in particular the way the word is used in that sentence. This will help you learn to phrase sentences properly and is the basic step of sentence formation. Do remember to use proper grammar and do not violate the rules of sentence construction.
After these lessons, you can practice reading and speaking the language very easily. Once you know the basics, you can move on to advanced topics to make some complex sentences and use them in your speech. By regular practice and a planned strategy, you can get fast results. Always start with the basics and move towards the higher levels.
