How To Learn English For Spanish Citizens
Nowadays, a number of Hispanics are settled in many places in the United States. Although they were first limited to some parts of the country, Spanish speaking people have been distributed evenly throughout the country. Latin Americans are the largest minority group of United States and thus, it becomes necessary for them to learn the native language to properly communicate with others and adapt to the environment.
English is the language used for communication in United States of America. So, it becomes necessary to learn English so as to properly communicate with one’s neighbors and with other people. Although you can use your mother tongue at home or with others who speak the same language as you but those for communicating with those who can’t speak Spanish, you simply need to use English.
There is an interesting fact I’d like to share with you here. A number of native English speakers are trying to learn Spanish words and the Spanish language itself so as to be able to communicate with Hispanics. Hence, in a way, they’ve already extended their hands towards the largest minority group of the country. This should be another reason for you to take your first step towards learning English as your second language.
English language is pretty simple to learn for Spanish citizens. A little effort with proper dedication towards your study plan will help you speak English fluently in no time.
This is not because the basics of the language are known to a person or because there exists familiarity with the language. To learn a new language, you need a proper environment. For example, speaking English in Spain is difficult since it’s quite a task to find others who can communicate in English with you and make you practice.
With English, however, you get a good environment in the US since many people would be willing to talk to you in English itself. From shopkeepers to pedestrians to businessmen – everyone speaks English. The only thing that you need to do is to take the first step. Go out there and tell them that you know only a little bit of English and they would be ready to talk to you.
While learning English, you should keep in mind a point of utmost importance. Make sure you are speaking the correct sentence in the correct manner. Formation of complex sentences in the beginning often lead to grammatical mistakes. So, concentrate on the basics, do not go for the complex sentences and form very basic sentences which are correct in the beginning.
You may want to get a strong hold on the language, but first you have to get a good grasp of the pronunciation of words. You will have to pronounce the word correctly during the conversation. Hence, concentrate on proper pronunciation and use words which are not pronounced as they are spelled carefully. Stick to the basics, practice the language with native speakers, and as you develop a consistent flow, you will get a strong hold on the language.
